Tia Dalma Skirt -
The Tia Dalma Skirt is our solution for anyone who wants a skirt that is romantic, lightweight, mysterious, washable, packable, inexpensive and doesn't require another layer to make it opaque. It is lined with taffeta or silk, ending in a heavy silk chiffon ruffle, the overskirt is a single, contrasting layer of silk chiffon with a bottom ruffle...and the colors are what make it really spectacular.
We are offering it in iridescent Parrot Bay, a deep turquoise with brown undertones (shown here with our Windrush Skirt in Mermaid), or Amber Sunset , a soft, iridescent blend of amber and pale blue...available for sizes XS through XL.
Note from Gypsy Moon: This skirt has raw edges, because we like the way that looks and moves.
We are in a lot of good company...Rick Owens, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garcons and almost all of the major contemporary designers.
We feel it lends a bohemian and piratical look to the garments, as do the small slivers of shredded and hand-dyed silks and laces.
If you do not like this look you may ask us to finish the edges for you. In some cases, we can do this and would be more than happy to do the finishing.
If the skirt you have chosen will look awful with a finished hem, we won't do it. We don't want to put our label on anything we don't like. We want our customers to be ecstatic over everything we make for them.
If you don't like our boho chic esthetic, please don't order anything...you will not be happy and neither will we. Also please note: the photo shows two skirts, layered.
